Recipe

TURKEY TETRAZZINI

This classic dish is the perfect use for turkey dinner leftovers. Or don’t wait until you make a whole turkey and buy the prepared variety. It’s good for feeding busy families because you’ll get a few meals from this tasty recipe.

Ingredients

16 oz. spaghetti or vermicelli

2 cups cooked roast turkey or 8 oz. package Perdue carved turkey breast

2 Tbsp. olive oil

1 chopped onion

1 chopped green pepper

12 oz. fresh sliced mushrooms

10.5 oz. can cream of mushroom soup

12 oz. bag frozen mixed vegetables

4 oz. jar diced pimento, drained

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

¼ cup dry white wine

1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Paprika

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cook pasta according to package directions, drain, and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat oil. Sauté onion, green pepper, and mushrooms until wilted. Meanwhile, cut turkey into bite-size pieces and put into a large bowl along with cooked spaghetti. Mix in onion, green pepper, and mushrooms, plus mushroom soup, mixed vegetables, pimento, cheddar cheese, white wine, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well to blend.

Pour mixture into greased 10x14x2 inch baking dish. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and paprika on top. Bake for 25 minutes, or until heated through. Serves 6 to 8.

There is really nothing I like more than a good Cozy read and a good 'ole cookbook.  Nancy J. Cohen smart girl just put it all together for me.  
If your a Cozy reader and you love cookbooks then this one is for you. 
It is filled with recipes originally found in some great Cozy Mysteries.  
I loved that I was introduced to quite a few new authors.  
I loved that a few excerpts were included and the 'Meet the Sleuth' section. 
I am looking forward to the chance to try a few recipes.  My 
TBR list just grew too!

And I thought
Not what I expected.  Normally I expect some suspense and some romance.  And hope it's just a little romance and not too many bedroom scenes with the door open.  You can really never tell. 
But, we get with Viable Hostage just a good 'ole suspense that will keep you guessing. 
I kept thinking that the main character Malorie would end up in bed with someone but.  Nope.  She is dedicated to school and finding her bestie. 
I kept thinking that 'bad things' things would end up happening to her Uncle and his expectant wife.  
I kept expecting Lani to be found in the end and the mystery solved. 
I was on a twisty 'turney' ride along the way as I turned the pages. 

I will give nothing away here. 

 Except Viable Hostage is a page turned. 

I hope to see more of Malorie and her uncle.
  
I had no clue that Viable Hostage is book 4 in the Emerald City 
Series. To this reader this speaks volumes.  Audrey J. Cole gives the reader a story that doesn't leaving you asking questions about what is going on.  I was swept into Viable Hostage and left 
expecting more. 

Viable Hostage is a great read and makes my suggestions for Christmas list.
