About the book

Life is looking up for magazine crafts editor Anastasia Pollack. When she tells Zack of her encounter, he suggests the man might be a jewel thief scouting for his next mark. And I thought 

Sometimes covers 'GetMe' and this one did.  For main characters Anastasia and her fiancee Zack they are expecting a little romance. I mean who doesn't on a cruise.  Going on a cruise with the family might put a kink in the romance for Anastasia and Zack but her mom wastes no time hitting the gaming tables and finding a possible new "Daddy"  I lost count what # Momma is on. She tends to 'Out Live' her husband's. 

And then there are few dead bodies but Anastasia is kind of used to having to solve murders. 

It gets a little 'Hairy' being stuck on a cruise ship while a murderer is in the midst 

Anastasia and Zack get to work together to figure just what is up and solve the crimes and get everyone back safely home.

I have read a few books in this series and enjoyed each one. 

A new reader will enjoy each page and become a new fan.

And I thought 

Author Jodi Linto had me intrigued with a town called

Bushwack and a main character that runs an Adventure Company.  I liked the idea and I could sense we would be getting something new.  Not the same 'ole settings that seem to be going around the Cozy world.

Cozy isn't going around much for main character Andie at least not since her ex  Bucky gets 'Whacked' in Bushwask.

I suspected we might find a little humor thrown in and a giggle or two and I wasn't disappointed.   A good mystery to solve, lot's of questions to be answered and a bit of Romance.

I loved the cover on this one (I don't always like Cozy covers that are corny).  The illustrator gave a few clues without making the cover silly.

I enjoyed the characters and the fast paced ride that kept me interested and turning the pages.

The Killer Outdoors is a great start to a new series.  I can't wait to read the next one.   BTW I'm rootin' for the Sheriff but I'm giving nothing away you'll have to read this one yourself.

And I thought

I have read a few of the books in this series and have enjoyed each one.

I like the Diner feel and the recipes at the end.  It is easy to

get attached to the regular Diners as Gia does.   

Even though this one is set around Halloween it is still a Good 'Ole Cozy Mystery.

Gia and her Bestie Savannah are always stumbling onto murder victims.  And then the circumstances cause Gia to sleuth out the answers.

The cover beckons the readere to check it out and turn the pages.

The story takes place at Halloween but this one is a Cozy Mystery that if you love cozies you want to add this one to your TBR list.

And I thought 

The audio version brought back memories that I enjoyed!  I 

had read the original print version of It's Murder, My Son a few 

years ago and I was glad to get the opportunity to revisit on the Audio tour.  

It was fun sitting in my crafting space working on projects and listening to this story all over again. 

It's funny hearing the story seems to bring it to life.  

Going back to the beginning and being reminded about not only how Mac met Archie and Gnarly I kind of remembered that part but revisiting how Mac ended up being the heir of Robin Spencer's fortune put a few things in perspective.  And how 

Robin searched him out and found him was interesting and a bit sad when you realize that he never got to meet his mom. 

It was also interesting to see how Mac and David met and how their brother relationship has developed through the series in the book.  

And then well these Gnarly.  What can I say about Gnarly.  He's just one special character.  

If you love a good mystery.  You won't find one here.  You find a 

Great mystery. 

If you enjoy a bit of a chuckle.  You will more than likely find a belly rolling laugh.  

And you'll find some great characters.  And lot's of mystery!

I love the Mac Faraday series and I can't wait for the next one!

And I thought 

Another good read in a fun series.  I have read a couple of this series and enjoyed them.

The author develops all the characters so well that even though there are alot them it is easy to keep track of everyone.

The main character Lucy as most main characters can't keep from sleuthing.  Lucy and her bestie Katie Watson who is referred to as Lucy's 'Watson' to her Sherlock is always up to helping Lucy investigate.  Katie is good at finding ways and reasons to interview suspects and towns people.

Katie is married to Bill a detective that has very little luck keeping the girls out of trouble and minding their business instead of 'helping' with investigations.

Lucy is luckier in that her fiance is a little more agreeable to the sleuthing maybe because he is trying to get Lucy to the alter.  

I did kind of figure out what was going on and why the victim met his maker but I didn't pick up on who did the deed.

The author gives the reader a few clues and Lucy and Katie stir  the pot and find the suspects to check out.

I was intrigued with the cover and enjoyed how Gaddo the cat made it into the story.

The recipes at the end sound interesting and I am thinking of trying a couple!

If you enjoy a good cozy with fun and likeable characters you'll enjoy the escapdes of Lucy and Katie.

And I thought 
I just really, really liked this one!  It had me speeding through my day till I could sit down and turn the pages!  

I think alot of what I liked was the Southern Charm.  I loved
Lyla and her friends and family.  Even though MaMa was a bit alot (!) over the top. I  liked her Grandma she was a 'stinker' and helped Lyla with investigating because she snoops.  Grandma made me giggle. 

To me this one was a little more Crime/Murder Mystery thme only because the plot was based around an old unsolved murder cases.  

Even though the Cold Case is the impetus which seemed to have caused Carol's demise On Borrowed Crime is indeed a really, really good Cozy.

There are a lot of characters besides Lyla and her family including all the book club members and local law and the Cold Case Investigator seems to be on his way to important character in the series.  Giving nothing away here you'll have to read this one it is a great read and I am anxiously awaiting for the next one.

And I thought

I was intrigued by the synopsis.  I loved the quaint quiet town and I wanted to visit the Berry Basket Shop. 

The first few pages lured me in. The author wasted no time setting the scene with the victim seemingly just dieing of old age.  But I knew better.  The cookies at the death scene were a giveaway.  I knew they would play a part  in the investigation!

I have to admit I did get bogged down with all the theatrical stuff revolved around the Dickens Play.  Sorry I am not a fan of theatre much less Dickens.  I know Gasp.  For me it just drug on.  I was a bit like Marlee although she stepped up to the plate and made sure the murder was solved and the Show went on.

The characters were charming.  I even enjoyed Marlee's Russian houseguest.  Even though she was a bit of a pain in the ___ and everyone kept asking Marlee why she put up with her.  In the end she there for Marlee helping her when things got dicey.

I am not sure if it was the authors intention to make the myster so easy to figure out.  But it was fun discorvering how the clues in the beginning played out to solve the mystery.

I enjoyed Hollyberry Homicide I've added this series to my favorites list.
