Memories And Murder by Lynn Cahoon-Great Escapes Tour-Review

About the book
It’s October in South Cove, California, and the locals in the quaint resort seem to be happily pairing off in the lull before the holidays. Everyone, that is, except for Jill Gardner’s elderly aunt, who just dumped her besotted fiancé—and she won’t say why.
When Jill hosts a talk at Coffee, Books, and More on the topic of elder abuse, all that’s really on her mind is lunch. But the topic hits close to home when she discovers Aunt Jackie has been getting mysterious calls. Jill’s certain the caller is a con artist, of course, but her feisty aunt claims to understand this, though she’s still shaken—and Harrold’s still heartbroken. Who’s behind the scam and why was her aunt targeted? When a volunteer from the Senior Project is found murdered, Jill’s detective boyfriend is on the case—and it soon becomes clear no one is safe when a caller from beyond becomes a killer in their midst.
And I thought
A page turner that had me turning them all the way through!

I enjoyed Memories And Murder in this #10 in the series I felt
much more connected with the cast than I did in the previous book.
Jill and her somewhat eccentric aunt are fun characters.  In this one Aunt Jackie though is distracted and has everyone who loves her friends and family asking questions when she suddenly breaks her engagement.
As the story unfolds Jill becomes more interested in helping Aunt Jackie since it looks like she is being scammed than annoying her
Detective boyfriend find a murderer.
Although Jill has a hard time completely staying out of it since she doesn't agree with who the prime suspect is.
I think the supporting cast was fun.  I liked Deek who is a quirky character in his own right.  He was fun and funny and is a good computer geek able to help Jill out with a little sleuthing himself and hold down the fort at the coffee shop for Jill.
It's not long before Jill begins to wonder if the scams are tied to the murder.
Detective boyfriend Greg is keeping 'mums the word' to keep Jill out the snooping and keep her safe.
Not an easy task as which makes a good story.  Our girls just gotta solve the crime!

I enjoyed Memories and Murder look forward to reading more in this series.
