It is always fun to start a new series right at book one.
Jackie gives us some charming characters to live. The kind that just charm their way in.
I didn't 'grow' to love them.
Emma just grabs your heart right away!
And then Jake well you'll be needing your fan. And not from the Texas heat.
I was enchanted with the town of Lutz, Texas.
And with Emma's flower grower business. Which btw is the perfect 'in' when your trying to subtly ask people questions and uncover clues.
Emma is a great main character who cares for her friends and has no fear of doing a a bit of sleuthing when a friend becomes a suspect in a murder investigation.
