I love a good cozy. And this was one. It was a page-turner.
Although Till Death Do Us Tart with it's catchy title is #8 in the
Bakeshop mystery series. It is written as a stand alone.
Most of the characters appear in previous installments. Like
Jules mom and her soon to be husband 'The Professor'.
Jules ex Carlos appears in prior installments too.
Jules and Carlos met and were married for a brief time when they worked together on cruise ships.
After their divorce Jules returns home and begins running the family business the bakeshop.
Many changes are being made. With remodeling in the bakeshop and part ownership in a winery.
Jules has her hands full with business.
And then when a murder happens at her mom and the Professors
surprise wedding Jules is stuck helping solve with case.
There are twists and turns that keep you wondering just who dun it.
And why when it is discovered that maybe Jules was the intended victim of a poisoned glass of wine.
I have read a couple of the other installments in this series and I have to say I really loved them all but hands down this one was
my favorite!
The book also includes recipes from the Torte the Bakeshop.
Including Pie Fries made from pie crust with Raspberry Jam to mimic Ketchup.
And Chili Verde a Chicken and White Bean Chili. I plan to make!
