Accidentally Married My Review

About the book

Madison Nichols is out of options. An aspiring actress with bills piling up, she’s desperate for a job. When she rushes to an interview at Jameson Technologies, a mix-up leaves her pretending to be the CEO’s girlfriend instead of landing the role she needs. Now she's stuck in a charade with Jared Jameson—a man who tricked her for his own gain.

Madison isn’t about to let Jared get away with it. Her bold plan to expose his lies? Announce their engagement in front of his entire family. Jared is stunned, but the real chaos begins when his ailing aunt makes a heartfelt wish: that they marry before she passes.

Madison hatches a wild idea—hire an actor, stage a fake wedding, and pull off the performance of a lifetime. But what neither of them knows is that Jared’s father is already onto them, with a plot of his own that will leave them scrambling.

And I thought

I was not sure what to expect.

I found the title in you tube and there was no indication if it was Steamy or Sweet or somewhere in the middle. .

To my setprise it was Sweet almost Wholesome.

It was an audio version which allowed me to finish in a few hours.

I could not put it down.

I was surprised it seemed long.

I expected a happy ending after the wedding.

But nope it was several weeks later which was actually refreshing.

The author threw in a longer story beyond the wedding day.

And I enjoyed it.

I will be following along this series.

I download an audio copy from You Tube.

And I thought

I am interested in reading more in the series.

However I really did not care for AI voice. It was monatone and no difference in characters male or female.

The birds chatter is key to storyline and it just did not come off well.

I did enjoy the storyline.

The characters were charming.

The author did a great job of introducing each one.

I liked the locale and town name.

And I enjoyed Hillary's profession and her reasons for making gift baskets.

I did not notice the length but the book seemed short.

Perhaps because I enjoyed it

I look forward to reading a print copy of the rest of series.

Murder Over Easy Book Review

About the book

Murder has never been this easy…

When Sunny Charles arrives in small-town Parfait, Florida, the last thing she expects is a note from her aunt instructing her to take control of the famous Sunny Side Up Café. After going through a vicious divorce, losing her entire life savings, and, oh yeah, having the Russian mob on her tail, Sunny’s willing to give it a shot, even if it means trying her hand at cooking.

Let’s face it, eggs over easy aren’t exactly ‘easy’ to make, but they beat facing off against armed men with guns. All things considered, her first day in the café goes well, that is, until one of the customers, a food vlogger, tries her aunt’s eggs over easy and drops dead on the spot. Sunny’s set to lose the café unless she can prove her innocence. But with a handsome chef as a distraction, the creeping suspicion she’s being watched, and a detective on her case, she’s got her work cut out for her.

Can Sunny solve the mystery before the murderer stops her? Find out in this funny starter in a brand new cozy mystery series!

And I thought

This is the first book I have read by Rosie A Pointe.

And the first book in the series.

There were a lot of characters introduced that will undoubtedly become full-time cast members.

It will be interesting to see how things at out.

So I will be reading the next book.

Sunny the main character did some growing as she was left in the lurches to manager her aunts cafe.

Sunny arrives in Parfait Florida hoping to find safety with her aunt after a messy divorce.

I thought leaving a note for poor Sunny was odd. Maybe the authors intention of keeping the reader asking questions.

In fact at 1 point I did wonder if her aunt was actually in hiding

And it was all a plot. But that didn't fit at all.

The author attempted to keep the reader guessing with lots of suspects with various quarrels with the victim.

I suspect that future books will develop a really good story line
