No, Joe didn’t call after the kiss. He’s the fun time guy, not the forever guy. And Kylie, after all she’s been through, deserves a good man who will stay. But everything about Kylie makes it damned hard to focus, and though his brain knows what he has to do, his heart isn’t getting the memo.

And I thought
If you crack this one open.  Be prepared plan a few uninterrupted hours.  Set yourself up with some refreshments and then enjoy.

I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised.  I expected this to be a good book.  But it was better than good it was great!

I really didn't expect to like as much as I did.

It seemed to be very quickly paced to me.  Maybe because I enjoyed it so much it just read fast.  The chapters were not terribly long and so it was easier to read in little spurts of time.

I just loved Kylie.  She was just a bit funny and sweet.

And then there's Joe.  Everyone in the arena of friends and co-workers see him as the hurt and solitary guy that stays away from relationships.

But Kylie gets under his skin.  And into his heart even though he tries to keep it closed off.

When a special carving her grandfather made goes missing Kylie talks Jo into helping her track it down.

Jo reluctantly agrees and puts them on a ride together that neither one really wanted.  At least they didn't think they did.

It doesn't take long for their attraction to each other set off sparks.

I loved all the characters in this book.  I did not realize that it was a part of a series until I started writing this review.  I would love to read the beginning of the series and learn their stories.

The plot and story line was well written and kept me turning the pages.

All the characters are fun and interesting.

This was a great read.  There was no language.  There were some bedroom scenes that might make my mama blush a wee bit.

I looked forward to reading the rest of the series.

I received a complimentary copy.
This review will be posted on retail sites where available.
