Release Day-Silenced In Sequins b y Debra Sennefelder

About the book
Former Manhattan fashion buyer Kelly Quinn is turning her grandmother’s outdated consignment shop into her quaint hometown’s hot spot for upscale style—until her second-hand couture makes the scene of an ice-cold crime . . .

With her bottom line looking a little threadbare, Kelly is going all out to promote the Lucky Cove Resale Boutique. She’s counting on Black Friday to recover her start-up expenses—including a website and an advertising blitz. But the publicity is overkill when two warring divas, and one sparkly evening dress, thrust Kelly and her fledgling business into a scandal she can’t afford.

The gorgeous garment came to Kelly from the walk-in closets of Wendy Johnson, one of reality TV’s Long Island Ladies. When Wendy’s former co-star, Diana Delacourte, graces a Christmas gala in the dress that was once her rival’s, a very public catfight ensues. But is Wendy to blame when sequin-clad Diana turns up dead? Dodging the show’s ever-present cameras—and a detective’s stern warnings—Kelly hunts for a killer before the powerful celebrity-suspect makes good on her threats and rips her to shreds . . .

Image

About the book
An unlikable guest
Who was abusive to his wife
A marriage in trouble
Someone thought he should be murdered
And he was

Brett reminds Linc of a time when he could have prevented an abusive spouse from hurting his wife, a close friend, and he’s always regretted it. Did he regret it enough to do something about it years later?

Could it have been the B & B guest who found Amanda irresistible and her husband’s treatment of her frightening? Or even her loving father, worried about his only daughter?

It’s up to Brigid and Sheriff Davis to find out just how abusive Brett was and who murdered him.

Plenty of dogs, recipes, and page-turning suspense in this, the 9th book in the Cottonwood Springs Cozy Mystery Series by a two-time USA Today Bestselling Author.

A Cozy Cookbook by Dianne Harman author of Cozy Mysteries

About the book
I began cooking when I was a small child, and as I got older, it became a passion of mine. I was fortunate that as an adult I was able to attend cooking schools throughout the world and learn from some fabulous chefs. When I started writing cozy mysteries, I decided to add five recipes at the back of each of the books, dishes that the characters had eaten or described in that particular book. I had no idea they would become so popular. As I continued to write more cozy mysteries, all of which had recipes included in the addendum, many readers wrote and said they wanted to make one of the recipes, but couldn’t remember which book it was in. So, by popular request, I have begun to consolidate the recipes from my cozy mystery series: Cedar Bay, Liz Lucas, High Desert, Midwest, Northwest, and Cottonwood Springs, into a series of cookbooks. This is the first book in the series. My only hope is you enjoy them as much as my readers and I have. They are all recipes I have used and are in my personal collection. Bon appetit!

And I thought
What a yummy treat!
I enjoyed this delightful cookbook.  Author Dianne Harman shares some of her favorites including a few appetizers, breads and cakes, main dishes and more.
I plan to cook the breakfast casserole that is made with only 4 eggs.
I've seen other recipes that require way more eggs.  This one sounds really good.
The Stuffed Baked Pasta Shells are on my list to try.
And for dessert I have to try the Dutch Killer Chocolate it looks just like on my mom used to make.
There are also Decadent Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies...Hello
and Super Easy English Trifle.

I enjoyed the Kindle version I received but, the print version is on my wish list.  I love a good cookbook and A Cozy Cookbook is one.

My only negative was that I wish that there had been an addition of the recipes that have appeared in the books.  I would have enjoyed reading about the books too.

I received a complimentary copy from the author.
My review will appear on Amazon and Good Reads.
A Cozy Cookbook will be featured on My Journey Back the Journey Back and promoted on social media.

Murder, She Encountered by Peg Cochran-Great Escapes Tour

About the book
A gutsy Manhattan socialite encounters murder and corruption at the World’s Fair in this captivating historical cozy mystery for readers of Victoria Thompson, Susan Elia MacNeal, and Rhys Bowen.
New York City, 1939. A rising star at the Daily Trumpet, Elizabeth “Biz” Adams has been sent to the World’s Fair—billed as the “World of Tomorrow,” a look toward a brighter future even as the drumbeats of war grow louder—to cover a robbery. What she stumbles upon instead is a dead woman, dumped into the Aquacade’s pool with a nylon stocking wrapped around her neck.
Elizabeth snaps a photo as the police arrest Joey Dorman, a gentle young hot dog vendor who made no secret of his obsession with the murder victim. Even though she’s thrilled that her photo makes the front page, the fear and confusion evident on Joey’s face are haunting. So Elizabeth vows to prove his innocence—or his guilt—with her partner at the Daily Trumpet, Ralph Kaminsky. Meanwhile, her romance with Detective Sal Marino is heating up, and Elizabeth is more determined than ever to follow her heart.
But when Kaminsky’s efforts to expose the real killer land him in the hospital, Elizabeth is forced to continue the investigation on her own. And as she tries to narrow down the long list of suspects, she discovers a dark secret running through the Fair—a secret some would kill to protect.
Look for all of Peg Cochran’s delightful mysteries featuring Elizabeth Adams, which can be read together or separately:

Southern Harm by Caroline Fardig-Great Escapes Tours

About the book
A little Southern charm never killed anybody—until now—in an enchanting cozy mystery from the USA Today bestselling author of Southern Discomfort and the Java Jive novels.
After solving a murder at a local restaurant, Quinn Bellandini just wants to get back to her comfortable life running her grandfather’s B&B in Savannah, Georgia, with her sister, Delilah. But those plans get buried when Quinn and her new boyfriend, Tucker Heyward, dig up an old skeleton while doing some landscaping in his aunt Lela’s backyard. Before long, Lela becomes the prime suspect in the thirty-three-year-old unsolved murder of a high school homecoming queen.
Tucker is devastated. But Quinn’s conscience won’t let her risk an elderly woman spending her twilight years in jail for a crime she didn’t commit. And Delilah, bored by the quiet B&B biz, has been itching to do some more investigating of her own.
Soon they’re questioning a growing list of suspects, from nosy neighbors and snooty Savannah socialites to mild-mannered teachers and old high-school friends of the victim—including Quinn and Delilah’s own parents. But no one is safe from a killer who’s totally old school.
