The Stranger in the Woods My Review

This is my first time reading a book by Author Anni Taylor. The Stranger in the Woods was a page turner. i was kept on the edge of my seat as events unfolded. All the while I tried to figure out who the Stranger was. How. Why. He or She lured little girls. Almost every character that entered the story could have been the Stranger. Even Albin the father of the girl that had just died. I was surprised at the ending. How everthing was tidied up and how the Stranger paid. This title was a 5 star read. I look forward to more from Author Anni Taylor. This book is available on Amazon .

Jungle Fire by Dana Mentink My Review

This was a rerread for me. I originally the book a few tears ago. I got the opportunity to get an audio version. It was just as good. I had forgotten some details so it was like a new read. The characters Nina and Shaw are both very likeable. Nina is a Christian and a nurse. Shaw is ex military on a personal mission to avenge his sister. As Nina begins to get to know him a sadness fills her since he no longer trusts God's Goodness and goes out of his way to let her know it. As they are chased through the jungle many times narrowly escape capture or death they begin to get close. Jungle Fire is well worth the read. Even if ut is a reread. There us a spot on my book shelf for a copy. I will grab ine up when ai find one.

Main Character Monday

Main Character Monday feat Shaw Wilder - Jungle Fire by Dana Mentink Welcome to Main Character Monday the day I feature a character in a book that stood out to me. Today let me introduce to you Shaw Wilder the male lead in Jungle Fire by author Dana Mintink. Dana was gracious enough to share a few thoughts with us . . . Shaw Wilder is an expatriate living in Guatemala with his only real friend, his dog. He blames a missionary for leading his sister into danger which resulted in her death. He’s angry at God, preferring a hard bitten life in the jungle instead of facing his raw grief. When he saves Nina Truman from a burning bus, he has no intention of sticking around, until he realizes she will not last long without him. This book was very interesting to write because it gave me a chance to chat with my mother about her experiences living in Guatemala. My uncle also contributed to the story as well as a friend who served as a missionary in that country. I hope you will enjoy this jungle adventure as well! Why I chose Shaw . . . I like to switch things up. Most of the time readers and reviewers focus on the 'Main' character. Alot of times secondary characters or in this case the Male lead are intriguing and I just like to give them the chance to share their stories. Such is the case with Shaw first of all he just oozes big strong and very nice to look at. Nina is attracted to begin with because of his brooding countenance. As they grow closer Nina see's how hurt and disillusioned he is. Shaw is determined. He fights his own demons; fights to keep Nina safe and get them both out of the jungle in one piece. The first line . . . Nina never imagined her life would end on a school bus. Not a dilapidated bus filled to groaning, departing the soggy Guatemalan town of Solitar, three hours from the Mexican border. And on page 56 Shaw speaking to Otto (plantation owner who hired Shaw to find bombs buried on his property) . . . 'Oh he agreed alright. Nina was a magnet for trouble since he'd pulled her from the wreck.

Book Review Book 1

I was so pleased to be able to acquire the Audio version of book 1 Tracking The Truth in the Security Hounds Investigations series. Meeting the characters family members and the dogs featured was fun. I was hooked very early on. The author had me. I had no clue how the original murder happened and Who Dun it. About the book . . . ...To expose a suspect, he needs evidence… and a K-9’s instincts. After Emery Duncan is abducted and dumped in a lake, private investigator Roman Wolfe and his bloodhound partner rescue her from an icy death. Someone doesn’t want Emery to find out what really happened the night her father confessed to attempted murder. To keep Emery and her baby nephew safe, they must uncover the connection between her father’s confession and the attack…or they’ll be silenced for good. From Love Inspired Suspense: Courage. Danger. Faith. Security Hounds Investigations Book 1: Tracking the Truth. And I thought. I did turn the pages in my usual break neck speed. Author Dana Mentink grabs my interest at page 1. From the first page you have a drop your jaw moment. I wish I could spill the beans but that would not be fair. You need to enjoy that monent yourself. On a dark night completely by accisent Roman happens to catch just a glimpse of a body being tossed over a boat! Roman and his dog waste no time going after the body. Hoping against hope they aren't to late or seen! But of course the bad guy sees them and becomes the energizer bunny trying to stop them from saving the girl. Finally Ronan manage to save them all as the would be killer boats away. And the games begin. Roman is shocked to see that he has rescued a eoman from his past! And a wild rude begins as Roman and Emory fight to stay alive and clear her fathers name. Tracking the Truth is a great start to a great series. It is easy for me to give Author Dana Mentink 5 stars for this Title.
