Collateral Risk-Goddess Fish Tours Reviews/Giveaway

About the book
After losing her sister to a serial killer years earlier, scientist Mia Lindgren survives by focusing on the most dangerous viruses known to man. She’s become adept at shutting herself off from human contact—until her lab partner drowns under suspicious circumstances.

Forced to accept the assistance of Nick Doyle, an FBI counter-terrorism expert on leave, she soon realizes someone at the Institute for Research of Infectious Diseases is involved in a deadly deception. As she and Nick race to find a killer who will stop at nothing to accomplish his version of Armageddon, they can’t ignore their own chemistry. But can Mia truly put the past to rest?

Read an excerpt
Mia Lindgren winced as the bagel knife sliced her fingertip. She wrapped the cut in a napkin and hurried over to the sink, turning on the tap and thrusting her pointer finger into the stream of cool water. Morning sunlight poured through the kitchen windows, warming her face and reminding her how late she already was.

After a minute or so, she pulled her finger out of the water and inspected it. The cut was about a quarter of an inch long, not very deep. Nothing to get worked up about.

She crossed from the kitchen to the bathroom and opened the medicine cabinet, wondering if she would ever be able to cut herself and not freak out. For the past year she’d slipped into panic mode whenever she got so much as a paper cut. She could only imagine what would happen if she ended up with a scraped knee. All that exposed skin would leave her sleepless for a week.

You were the one who signed up for this.

She loved her work, but she still questioned her choice even though three years had passed since she first crossed the threshold of the Institute for Research of Infectious Diseases in Somersville, Maryland. Her friends, her mother, her stepsister, and just about everybody else she knew told her she was crazy to work there. She could still hear Ashley’s horrified tone on the other end of the line when she’d called Burnleigh Hall to tell her half-sister the news.

“So you want to work with Ebola?” Ashley had asked, forgetting to season her tone with the usual dose of teenage cynicism. “Like, on purpose?”

And I thought

About the book
Fall in love at Bayside, where sandy beaches, good friends, and true love come together in the sweet small towns of Cape Cod.

BAYSIDE SUMMERS is a series of standalone steamy romance novels featuring alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They're fun, flirty, flawed, deeply emotional, always passionate, and easy to relate to.

In BAYSIDE PASSIONS...
When Emery Andrews's best friend, Desiree, moves away, falls in love, and opens a an inn all in one summer, she feels her absence like a missing limb. Until she visits over the holidays and meets sinfully hot Dean Masters, who's as easy on the eyes as he is to talk to. After returning home, what starts as a flurry of late-night flirtations quickly turns into a deep connection and unexpected friendship. Now, months later, Desiree offers Emery a job teaching yoga at the inn. Adventurous Emery jumps at the chance and heads for Wellfleet, Massachusetts, to reunite with her BFF and her new close friend, Dean.

After months of sharing their lives, and their secrets, over video chats and phone calls, Dean's ready to move things to the next level. The fact that Emery seems oblivious to the sparks between them and has recently put her foot down about dating friends just means he'll have to bide his time.

Night Shift by Carey Decevito-Review-Buoni Amici Tour w/Giveaway

About the book
A serial killer…
A past that haunts no matter how much the distance…
Which one will strike first?
Eighteen deaths over eight years has left Shane Peters itching to find his mark. The death that started it all ensured his obsession with the murderer who had turned his life into a living hell, leaving him to raise a newborn daughter on his own.
Starting over wasn’t the easiest thing, but Emberlyn Roth had managed by shear grit and the skin of her teeth. It’s too bad one can’t outrun their past.
A protector of the wronged, Shane is torn between his duty as a detective for the Jacksonville PD and a quest to find himself some peace. Red tape binds his capabilities and moonlighting as an investigator for Nightshade Securities has him feeling stretched thin. Late nights on the streets and his sense of duty keeps him from being the father he wants to be. Throw onto his already rickety house of cards, an attraction to the mysterious Emberlyn, the lead he’s got on the murderer he’s been hunting for nearly a decade, and threats his woman is receiving by an unsavory character from her past, and he’s seriously tempted to take Dalton Kipper’s offer to join his team in a permanent basis.
Rules have a place, but when you’re faced with losing the one that means most to you, lines can become blurred. With the fate of his family’s future hanging in the balance, he’s ready to risk it all.
Read an excerpt
The moment I walked over the threshold, I knew a clusterfuck of epic proportion awaited me.Blood was everywhere. Spatter by the front door, smears over the walls, and droplets leading to where I knew the victim would ultimately be laying in a pool of her life’s essence.Forensics was going to have a field day with this one.Just like with the other fifteen.Donning the protective gear the lead officer had ordered me to change into before entering the scene, I made my way toward the back of the house.Carefully avoiding one evidence marker after another, I entered the master bedroom. The grizzly sight of Victoria Spark’s mutilated body, lying face up on the bed, greeted me. The standard ligatures on her wrists and ankles proved that she’d been restrained and alive through most of her torture; the killer leaving her to die in excruciating pain from her wounds and ultimately, blood loss. The scent of copper on the air thickened as I made my final approach, slipping my hands into a pair of plastic gloves. I was looking for something I knew was meant for me.Setting my evidence kit down beside the bed, I bent toward the body in search of my next clue. The sickening crack of the victim’s jaw set my stomach to roiling as I pulled her mouth open, locating the three pieces I had come to expect after so many years of chasing this perp. Letting go of the victim, I grasped my digital camera and photographed my findings. Setting the camera down, I whipped out the small evidence bag from my kit and opened it, manning my tweezers.Fishing the objects out one by one, I dropped them in the bag, then photographed them again. Fragments of a photograph were what this sicko leaves. Camera in hand, I shot a few frames of the room, as well as the rest of the premises. The team would have their own photos, but I liked being thorough with my investigations, thus preferred gathering my own shots, comparing them with the others’.Closing up my kit, I stood to take my leave.Fucking sadistic bastard and his games. It pissed me off that he was always one step ahead of me.

And I thought
I admit it.  I am a cover junkie and this one 'got me'.  I was expecting sizzle and that's exactly what I got.  Some sizzle and a sweet romance.  Combined with a thriller that kept me turning the pages.

I can easily say that Night Shift is a 5+ star page turner.

The characters are charming and delightful, hot (Shane and his co-workers) and just a little bit stubborn and opionated.

Emberlyne has been through a rough time. She's a big girl and wants to stand on her own.

Shane is a widower struggling with working way too much while trying to raise his darling daughter Lana Rose with the help of his wonderful mom.  Mom is wise and dedicated to helping her son and grand daughter.

While Shane and Emberlyne become friends and then step over into a relationship Shane struggles with catching a serial killer
that ends up connecting with Emberlyne's ex to reck all kind of
havoc.

Night Shift is a page turner that kept me turning the pages and forgetting about the 'real' world.

There were some sub-characters that immediately caught my attention and I was delighted to see that Devolin and Dalton are the main characters in Book 1 of this series.

I am looking forward to reading Night Break 1 in the series.

Pre-Meditated Murder-Book Review-A Great Escapes Tour/Giveaway

About the book
Yoga instructor Kate Davidson is ready to marry her boyfriend Michael, so she’s disappointed when a special dinner doesn’t end with a proposal. But disappointment turns to dismay and outrage as she learns the real problem: Michael is already married and his green card-seeking wife is blackmailing him.
When his wife’s body is found—by Kate and her dog, no less—Michael is strangely unable to remember where he was the night she died. Since Michael has no alibi, Kate steps up to uncover what happened. What she walks into is a tangled web of deceit, obsession, and immigration fraud . . . with Michael trapped in the middle.
And others are saying
These characters are realistic, fun, smart, determined and very centered most of the time. I love the role Bella plays in each mystery.
~Escape With Dollycas Into A Good Book
Starting and ending with romantic surprises, this yoga-centric novel takes the reader to unexplored locations on a roller coaster emotional run.
~Laura’s Interests

PRE-MEDITATED MURDER is a compelling read. Expectations of love are challenged and explored in this multilayered mystery.
~Cozy Up With Kathy
And I thought
Well here's what I thought...admittedly I am jumping in at book 5 but..so Kate is dating this dude and it's getting serious.  They are living together that's kind of serious.
At least she thinks he's going to propose.
But he doesn't because he's already married and he didn't have the
_____ to tell her.
Seriously?
And then she goes to visit the real wife to try to get her to let him
out of the marriage.
And then the real wife is found dead.
Well that's just nuts to me.  But that's just me.
And well let me just get all this out at once and then we will move
on...some others said the characters are realistic.
In what universe are we talking about?
Yes.  I did like Kate and her bestie Renee and her husband but I was just thrown with the whole Michael situation.
Making me want to read the first 4 to get a little more back story.
Maybe I would have liked it better if I had read the previous books.
So, if given the chance I would read the others just to see what's up.

If your a fan of Cozy Mystery's you might check the other reviews and give this one a chance.

I especially never planned on seeing Tucker Monroe again.
Sexy smile. Country charm.
A man and a life I left behind for a reason.
The only plan I had for myself was my career.
A buyer for one of the largest high end department stores was the only commitment I had time for. The only one I was willing to make.
Now, being left with no choice but to return to Billingsley, I’m finding it hard to remember why I left in the first place. Because all that’s on my mind is Tucker.
He is just as sexy. Just as charming.
Just as dangerous as he used to be…

Release Day Blitz-Star Struck by Sariah Wilson-Buoni Amici Press Tour

About the book
With one uncharacteristically sassy tweet to her longtime celebrity crush, Zoe Miller’s life turns upside down. Ultrahot A-lister Chase Covington doesn’t just respond to Zoe’s tweet, he does the unthinkable: he messages Zoe directly. Now she must decide between walking away or meeting her crush in person.
Chase knows better than to trust anyone from the Internet, but Zoe’s saucy challenge has totally caught his interest—and her girl-next-door personality is keeping it. He’s been burned enough to know he needs to keep his heart close. But his feelings for Zoe might be a lot more than just an online flirtation. He just has to convince her…
When the press gets wind of Zoe and Chase’s secret relationship, their romance turns into tabloid headlines. Will they be able to hold on to their Hollywood love story?
And I thought
I don't know where to start.  Except to say 5+ stars!  I really didn't know what to expect.
Contemporary Romance? Now a-days you might not be sure just what that means.
My applause goes to Sariah Wilson for giving us a wonderfully
sweet and very clean romance!
This story kept me turning the pages and not wanting to put it down.
Zoe is a delight.  Her family mainly her much younger siblings are charming and delightful as well.  Especially the youngest that
fall's for Chase who she calls Cheese!  All the siblings names start with Z.  A little confusing.  Zoe's back ground is Amish.
This isn't an Amish story.
Zoe's grandparents left the Amish and moved to California.

Zoe and her best friend Lexie have crushed on Chase since they were teenagers.
They get the chance to meet him but Zoe already has a connection because they've hooked up on twitter.
As soon as the two meet in person the sparks fly.  Or maybe simmer.

They are immediately attracted to each other.

Chase begins to think of ways to see Zoe even hiring her as his
personal assistant when his normal assistant is out of commission for a few days because Zoe drops a bowling ball on his toe!

As the story progresses the reader is swept along on a romantic
ride.

I hate to repeat myself but it is just sweet.  Chase is a seasoned actor but he is a sweet and compassionate individual.

Of course almost to the end there is a bit of conflict but happily it is all straightened out in time for a happy ending.

I loved Star Struck and look forward to reading many more book
