April 6 – My Reading Journeys - REVIEW
About the book
And I thought
A cute cover. Like really cute. Which usually don't 'Get me'.
Many a time I have had made the mistake of judging a book by its cover.
I took a chance and was glad I did.
Paws of Death was a page turner that kind a had me on the edge of my seat.
Maybe it was the long forgotten (or so you would think) tunnels hidden beneath the shops in town. Which are not forgotten and make great little hidden holes for bad guys and makes for an adventure to figure out who's doing the crimes and leaving us in the tunnels.
This was my first chance to read the series.
I enjoyed meeting the characters.
Samantha the main Character reminds me of the character in one of my favorite series. She kind of tends to be a bit noisy when she's sleuthing. And we'll doesn’t really have a filter.
But in the end she is quick to apologize and make friends with folks she really doesn't intend to befriend.
I was a bit uncertain about the detective. I wasn't sure how he fit in.
Which makes me want to read the previous books.
I enjoyed every page turn and putting the series on my Wish List.
I received a complimentary copy.
My review will appear on retail sites and Good Reads.
